Tamiya Mercedes-Benz CLK DTM 2000 Team D2

The Mercedes-Benz CLK DTM is one of the popular machines that took part in and dominated the heated 2000 German Touring Car Masters (DTM) race scene.

While the body of the machine was kept the same as the production version, the car's guts were made to race. The machine had a 4 liter V8 front installed engine with rear-wheel drive.

That year, 8 Mercedes-Benz machines were entered in the DTM race. Bernd Schneider, driver of the Team D2 machine, took 6 wins to earn the title of 2001 DTM Champion.
